Only the First Edition Nooks had replaceable batteries.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING NOOKS TO TRY TO REPLACE THE BATTERY:

NOOK TABLET 8G
None of the batteries in these devices is replaceable, and attempting to open them will damage the cases, and could void the warranty on the devices. If you are having problems with the battery holding a charge, call the 800 number for assistance.
